This is an authentic OEM replacement part that has been sourced directly from Alpha. These replacement carbon brushes are commonly used in sander polishers. Carbon brushes work to transfer electrical current to the armature inside the motor of your power tool. These parts are in constant contact with the spinning armature, the friction and heat they experience during operation is what leads to the brushes wearing down. When this happens you might notice your sander polisher has intermittent motor function, or the motor might have reduced power. When replacing carbon brushes you should always inspect the armature, if you find any burns, cracks, or other signs of damage this may indicate there are bigger issues with motor. This carbon brushes come with the wire lead attached. Before attempting repair on your power tools make sure they are unplugged.
